It's Wishful Wednesday and what are we wishing for? Well, I don't know about you but I'm definitely wishing for longer days and summer nights. Once the holidays are over and done with, I immediately go into vacation mode and of course soon as I get back from vacation, I'm ready to decorate for Christmas again. What's wrong me? Jeez!
As February comes to an end the events of the months ahead start filing up my calendar quickly. I get to thinking about summer vacation! I begin to get impatient...Is school over yet? I'm ready for pool parties and BBQ's. What I'm mostly excited about are the places we will go this summer! Our biggest trip will be to Cabo in July! Yes, I just got off the phone with my travel agent and she confirmed everything was booked. Ocean View, all inclusive at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos! Word of advice, if you're planning a trip somewhere in the next few months, start making those arrangements now because according to my travel agent (what do I know) now is the time you want to book for the best prices! She hooked us up too, let me tell you!
Those that know me personally know that we stayed at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos last summer. Some of you are probably asking why we chose the same destination. Why not try something new? Let me start off by saying that we are 7 families on this trip. This includes younger kids and grandparents, as well as 7 different budgets. We did look into other places but at the end of the day what mattered most was being able to have us all be together, kids creating memories with each other and knowing that we would again have the best time ever without breaking bank. So, July 2018...can't come fast enough!
Lets talk about why I highly recommend Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos to families with children. That's what makes this resort one of our favorites. So much to do, so much to see. The kids are still talking about their last trip to Cabo. For starters, the genuine hospitality of this resort is beyond words. Every single person we came across had a smile and a warm welcome. Soon as you walk into the resort and go up the stairs...the breathtaking views are literally jaw dropping. Just try to imagine...a wide open view with the ocean breeze to welcome you to Los Cabos. It's just spectacular!
The resort offers four amazing pools, an endless heated infinity pool, an adults only pool, a pool with cabanas for more of a intimate setting as well as the kids pool which includes a water-park with slides and all! The resort also has a fantastic Kids Club for ages 4-12. My youngest wasn't able to attend the kids club last year but my oldest and my nephew had a blast! I know they will ask to go again this year. Which is great because it gives us adults some time to unwind. Every night they offer a great show. This includes live music, dance performances and authentic Mexican culture. The kids had a blast participating with the entertainers every night. From the all you can eat restaurants to the nightly crepe maker out by the coffee shop. It became a nightly routine. We'd each grab a Nutella crepe and something to drink and go to a show. The kids were on cloud 9! During the day, we soaked up the sun in the beautiful pools. We rented Tiki Huts for the grandparents who wanted some shade and we swam till we couldn't swim no more. We drank, we ate...we had a blast! Adults took turns in taking the kids to water park...it was perfect!
The restaurants! Oh the restaurants! From all you can eat buffets which were loaded with delicious Mexican cuisines, desserts, fruit and so much more to actual sit down restaurants. The Dozo was our FAVORITE! Authentic Japanese cuisine. From the teppanyaki grills to the sunken Tatami-style seating and lively sushi bar, we had to go back for more. The staff took a liking to us and kept the Saki Bombs coming...we had a blast! The Italian restaurant, Zaffiros was delicious as well. More of a calm outdoor setting, overlooking the ocean. That made for a beautiful relaxing night. The Coco Loco Snack Bar is your Poolside Mexican Cantina, here they offer, burritos, ceviches and tostadas. Quick and easy bites and tasty Mojitos! They even had burgers and fries as an option. The food at the resort was bomb, you get my point!
The resort offers daily activities such as yoga, volleyball, dance classes and fun beach games for kids and adults. The best part...we had a FOAM PARTY!!! The kids were going nuts! It was so much fun, I can't even begin to tell you! From the music to the beach balls to the never-ending foam...we were having a great time! They were even coming around with drinks and shots for those who wanted it. My advice on this; know the crowd your going on vacation with. At the end of the day we all want to let loose and have a great time. We work our butts off 365 days of the year and sometimes you just want to take a shot. So, go for it. But, be responsible. After-all, this is a family trip with kids involved. No need to be a drunk...but it's OK to have fun too. My husband and I always have a game plan. We always have each others back. Have fun, let loose...I got you! Bottom line, know the crowd you're with and respect your boundaries. That's my two cents on that topic, moving on...
The resort also offers outside activities like tours, snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming with the dolphins, camel riding on the beach, zip lining, etc. We didn't get around to those last year, but maybe this year we will! We did however go out to town and visit the beautiful Catholic Church and do some city shopping which was fun! My sister in-law and I did take advantage of the Zen Spa. Which was exactly what these two tired moms needed! A 60-minute massages and some time to ourselves. Totally doing that again this year!
All in all, I absolutely think everyone should visit the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos if you are a planning a quick and easy family getaway. I also recommend going through a travel agent. They are there to plan you the best trip of your life. I speak from experience because we always use ours...she will get you the best deal with the best upgrades every single time! They are there to take care of every single detail unimaginable. If or when we came across a situation, I was able to contact Linda, our travel agent and know that she would take care of it for me while I continued enjoying my vacation. A travel agent has connections. They know people everywhere. Your online deals are only that. An online deal, the rest is up to you. I personally don't want to worry about anything other than packing my suitcases and hitting the road.
So, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? Go call Linda at European Travels and let her book your next trip! You deserve it! Give her all your wants and needs as well as your budget and she will make it happen! Just click on any of the blue icons, lets her know FHL sent you!
And...just to put it out there, I'm not affiliated or sponsored by Hyatt Ziva (Playa Resorts) or European Travel. (maybe I should be lol). Even if I was it wouldn't matter because if I don't truly believe in something, I'm not recommending it. I do this because I want all of you in on all the good stuff!
