My Fragrance Wardrobe...

Its my favorite day of the week and not just because it’s the weekend! It’s Friday Favorites, that’s why! I love sharing my favorite things with all of you and I love hearing about some of yours! I thought it would be fun to explore my crazy fragrance collection...well our collection, His & Hers. I thought my lip balm obsession was over the top until I opened the bin of fragrances! This isn’t even half of it! Oh my!

The tray we have displayed in our bedroom typically holds about 8 or 9 fragrances. We like to switch them out every few months. This way we don’t get bored with any one of them. We also like to have a variety of scents out for when we are feeling a particular mood. Maybe something earthy and clean for during the day while just hanging out or running errands and something more woodsy and spicy for a night out. During the colder seasons, I typically gravitate towards my warmer, sensual scents verses my clean, flirty scents that I like to wear during spring/summer. That’s why it’s called Fragrance Wardrobing. Just like you would find the perfect outfit for the perfect occasion, your fragrance completes the look.

I had to think about this long and hard...I have so many favorites. I have so many favorites for the hubby too! But I narrowed it down to my absolute favs!

Lets start with His:
Terre d’ Hermès by Hermès is one I will never get tired of.
This woody, earthy scent takes me back to when we first started dating. One of the first ones I got for him to go with my Hermès fragrance I would always wear back then. This easy to wear fragrance has grapefruit, orange, patchouli, cedar wood, vetiver and benzoin as some of its key notes, making it a perfect blend of rugged mets Wall St.
Oud Wood by Tom Ford is your exotic, smoky fragrance. This is one he likes to wear for a night out. A great one for those crisp, cold nights. From the rosewood, cardamon, sandalwood and vetiver to the tonka beans and amber notes. It brings quite the warmth and sensuality to the table.
L’ Homme by YSL is his casual scent. For that everyday fragrance. With notes like lavender, lemon verbena, bergamot, rosemary, sage, sandalwood and amber, this fragrance is a clean, woodsy, aromatic scent.
Aventus by Creed is God’s gift to the fragrance world! His holy grail. His absolute favorite. One of the most expensive in his collection, which is why he uses it sparingly lol. Really, almost everything Creed creates is the especially for men. They have a new one called Viking...TO DIE FOR! We haven’t had the courage to add that to the collection yet because it’s pretty $$$. But we will! Aventus is for the bold, confident man. It’s described as a fruity, rich fragrance. With top notes likes bergamot, black currant leaves, apple and pineapple and middle notes of pink berries, birch, patchouli and jasmine and ending in notes of musk and vanilla. This scent is sensual, contemporary and daring. Perfect for many occasions.

Now, let’s move on to Hers:
au des’ Merveilles by Hermes is my go to. Every time I wear this one, the hubby says it reminds him of when we first got together. It's fun when something so simple like a fragrance can take you back so many years. The notes are vetiver, oak and cedar along with ambergris, lemon, orange and pink pepper. This fragrance brings magic and mystery to the table. It is one of my favorites during the colder season and into spring. Something about it always stops people in their tracks. Love!
Wood Sage & Sea Salt by Jo Malone takes me to a few different places...I can be walking on the beach taking in the breeze and salty scent in the air or out for a hike surrounded with a woody earthiness. Definitely  a scent I can wear just about about anytime. Its crisp, freshness keeps me on my toes.
Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford is just wonderful! It reminds of a scent my mom would order from Turkey,  called Kolonya. They would use it for everything, kinda like Windex from the movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Maybe that is the reason I absolutely love this one. With notes like neroli, bergamot, sicilian lemon, jasmine, amber and ambrette seed leaves with this beautiful refreshing scent. I would also say that Neroli Portofino is a very acquired scent...not a scent for everyone!
Sycomore by Chanel is part of the Les Exclusifs De Chanel Collection. This fragrance is a woody, floral musk with vetiver, sandalwood, tobacco and violet as its main notes. This one is right up my alley because I really love wearing more of a masculine scent sometimes. Its a powerful fragrance that gets better and better over time. My go to right now while its cold and crisp outside.
Petit Matin by Maison Francis Kurkdjian is pure luxury! This entire brand is amazing. They also have one called Baccarat Rouge which is a show stopper but I unfortunately haven't added that to the collection...yet. Petit Matin features Italian lemon, lavender, orange blossom, hawthorn, musk and ambery notes. It has an interesting citrus scent which can be overpowering if done incorrectly. In this fragrance, all notes have been worked in just right! Works all year round, but I really enjoy it during spring/summer. If this one is to citrus for you, give some of the other ones in this collection a try!
Bronze Goddess Shimmery Oil by Estee Lauder isn't exactly a fragrance but I still wanted to add it to the list of favorites because it truly is a fav. I usually buy the fragrance around summer time which is when it usually is out...I like to layer it either with the lotion and oil or by adding the perfume. Bronze Goddess is literally like Hawaiian Tropic bottled up into your summer fragrance. Between the bergamot, amber, vanilla and creamy coconut...this fragrance takes you straight to the beach. This lightweight scented body oil is just dreamy. Leaves my skin sun-kissed and smooth. LOVE IT!

Well friends, what are some of your favorite fragrances? Let me know in the comments. Have you tried any of these? Like I always say, what works for me doesn't mean it will work for you. These are some of my favorites, what are yours?
